Progloria

This is the very first post of my new blog! Welcome and I'm glad you came to check it out. The purpose of this blog is to provide helpful tips, suggestions, and encouragement when searching, interviewing, considering, and hoping for a job. We are in the middle of difficult times in the job market and I'd love to be able to help job seekers gain an insider's perspective.
Just so you know a little bit about me -
I've been a recruiter for 6 years, at first with a headhunting firm and then for the last 3 1/2 years, I've been with Target Corporation in talent acquisition. I have my undergrad BA in Communications at Bethel University in St. Paul, my Masters of Arts in Human Resource Management from Saint Mary's University in Minneapolis, and my Professional of Human Resource certification. I am a wife, mother, Christian, daughter, aunt, in-law, friend and a million other titles, including recruiter!
I've had the privilege of working with so many great people, companies, and most importantly potential candidates. There is a special bond between a recruiter and candidate. From a candidate perspective, it is in your very best interest to align yourself with the Talent Acquisition team. This means being aware of your words, actions, and attitudes from the time you meet with a secretary - up until you meet with the CEO. This is an opportunity for recruiters and hiring managers to see your compassion and understanding.
